Unleash Your Talents

Dear Friends,

CompassionArt is a people-movement committed to creating freedom from poverty.

It doesn't stop with the songs, the album or the book. It doesn't stop at the lives of the people already involved. Or the people helped so far. This is just where it starts.

It's about you too. What you can do and what you can create to help free people from poverty.

We're teaming up with our friends at Christian Aid to ask you to give your talent this Christian Aid Week (9 – May). Getting involved is easy:

1. Watch the video below to get inspired by Martin Smith
2. Contact Christian Aid to register for your free Unleash your talent pack and a DVD-ROM with Martin's film and loads of other resources to inspire and equip you for giving your talent in Christian Aid Week.

3. Choose your talent, and get planning so you can use it to make, organise or do something that you can sell, charge for or get sponsored to attempt during Christian Aid Week (9 – 15 May)
4. Send the money you raise in to Christian Aid – they'll use it to help poor communities around the world, and to campaign to challenge and change the unjust structures that make and keep people poor.
   Christian Aid Week is one of the best kept secrets of the modern UK church – an annual outpouring of compassion for the poorest communities in our world. It unites 22,000 churches from every denomination to take action for the world's poor. Every May, 300,000 people take part in its seven amazing days of prayer, action and fundraising. They raise up to £15 million for poor communities through the largest house-to-house collection, events, concerts, sales and sponsored activities.

In 2010, we want to see an unprecedented number of people like you getting inspired by the example of CompassionArt and the thousands of people in Christian Aid Week who are taking action to change things.

And we want to see an unprecedented number of you using your talents, and joining the movement to create freedom from poverty.
